The Central Otago Museums Trust seeks a part-time Museum Coordinator (up to 20 hours per week) on a fixed term (one year) contract basis to support the five museums in the Central Otago District.

We are looking for a person with the following skills:

  • An understanding of the roles of the museum and heritage sector and able to foster relationships within them effectively
  • Knowledge of good museum practices
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in marketing, communications, and an understanding of the visitor environment
  • Experience in financial recording and reporting and accessing funding from external sources
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to show initiative
